Company Profile

Ray Suplee is the teaching professional at Hit The Ball. Ray is less than a year removed from professional baseball. Following a sparkling amateur career, Coach Suplee played in the minor league system of three different organizations for a total of six years. He played in the New York Yankees, Baltimore Orioles, and Tampa Bay Devil Rays minor league systems. Winning baseball was a constant throughout Coach Suplee's playing career. Coach Suplee was a member of a Little League World Series team, two Florida High School State Championship teams, a High School National Championship team, a College World Series Championship team, and a Florida State League Championship team. Coach Suplee relates well to players of all skill levels as he has "been there, done that" and had success.

Too often hitting instructors teach a student their way of hitting. Remember, there is no one absolute correct style of hitting. Coach Suplee teaches a player to swing correctly given his or her own style. The major emphasis is placed on improvement, not change. He draws on years of experience as a player and years of being coached by some of the best.

Coach Suplee has worked with and helped to improve players of every skill level. A youth playing T-Ball should be very concerned with learning the proper fundamentals BEFORE bad habits are learned and need to be broken. A more advanced player can learn to maximize their potential by learning and understanding the mechanics of the baseball swing. For the most advanced player, there are numerous "little things" the college recruiters and professional scouts are looking for. A lesson package will be developed to custom fit each player and his or her skill level. Coach Suplee teaches at an indoor baseball facility in Atlanta, GA called The Ballpark at Duluth. The Ballpark offers ten indoor batting cages with machines, a fully equipped weight room, and two dirt pitching mounds. The Ballpark is a truly state of the art indoor baseball instruction facility.

If logistics make a private lesson in Atlanta, GA impossible, Hit The Ball will offer lessons available on line. These lessons will be very detailed, documented, and extremely helpful. These lessons will be broken down into different aspects of the baseball swing.

An example of what some satisfied customers have to say regarding Coach Suplee and his teaching methods:

"Since meeting and working with Ray Suplee, my son has hit .438 with a .744 on base average in the last 130 games...We saw immediate and lasting results!" - Bob Komar, Head Coach - East Cobb Georgia Tigers (17-18 yrs. old)

"My son improved his baseball swing dramatically! Ray Suplee has taught him to be a better hitter and understand his baseball swing better. Ray has also taught my son to correct himself. He no longer looks to others for advise; he fixes his own problems. What my boy and I liked most about Ray and his coaching methods was that there never was talk of changing, but talk of improving. Ray knows baseball and more importantly, is a heck of a teacher!" - Tom Scott
